The Vancouver Youth Choir is thrilled to launch the brand-new pilot project, VYC KINDRED, with the support of the Raymond James Foundation! VYC Kindred is a FREE choir for youth who are newcomers to Canada, providing an opportunity for 25 youth to learn music with two First Nations musicians, Deanna Newton-Gestrin and Russell Wallace.
This program would not be possible without the support of the Raymond James Canada Foundation, and we are incredibly grateful for their generosity. We know that this program will have a powerful impact in the lives of these youth, and it is our hope that by learning songs of this place, these new Canadian singers will find a connection to their new homes.
