VYC VOICES is the Vancouver Youth Choir’s newest choir. Open to singers grade 11 to age 24, this choir is perfect for people who are looking to sing with joy and artistry, in a choir with limited time commitment requirements.
For singers who
“In VYC, I have learned that being a leader doesn't mean someone is better than someone else. It is about striving to help everyone reach their potential, and together exceeding what we thought possible.”
VYC Voices launched in fall 2019, and quickly became a close-knit and very social group of singers! Their very first performance was December 2019 at the Chan Centre, and their irrepressible joy, passionate singing was the talk of the show. We are looking forward to another year of camaraderie and beautiful music.
VYC VOICES does not require previous experience, however, we are aiming to have a balanced choir (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass). For that reason, all interested singers are asked to participate in a placement interview.
Rehearsals & Schedule
VYC is anticipating being back to in-person rehearsals in the fall. We will continue to have safety policies and guidelines in place that adhere to public health guidelines. All families are asked to read and sign our safety policies, and agree to follow all the protocol outlined in order to participate in the choir.
