In VYC Treble singers will build musicianship and long-lasting friendships in a joyful and creative environment.
For singers who
VYC Treble performs three times a year with all of the VYC choirs, as well as in community and outreach performances in the lower mainland. The choir focuses on building healthy vocal technique and music literacy skills in a supportive and welcoming community. VYC Treble singers are proud to act as mentors in our VYC Tiny and VYC Kids programs.
VYC Treble is conducted by Luke McAndless-Davis. At each VYC Treble rehearsal, there are mentor singers from our older choirs who assist with sectionals and vocal modelling, and lead small group rehearsals.
All of our choirs overlap in age, and it is essential for each young artist’s development that they are placed in the choir level that is right for them! All singers are asked to participate in a placement interview, where the director will determine which choir is the best fit, based on their age, musical experience, and social maturity. Find out what to expect at your interview.
