“Amazing introduction to the world of choir music for little kids. My son wished it was the whole term! He made great friendships and still sings the songs he learnt almost a year later.”

Sarah Dumont
Parent
VYC TINY is an annual short-term choir offered to singers in Kindergarten through Grade 2. The singers meet for three 45 min rehearsals, and then perform in a pre-recorded concert with all the big kids at VYC. This choir is meant as a fun, low-stress introduction to choral music, where kids can learn some basic skills and experience what it’s like to sing together in a group.
VYC TINY is conducted by Lisa Reimer, and accompanied by Jocelyn Liu. At each VYC TINY rehearsal, there are mentor singers from our VYC KIDS and VYC Junior choirs who assist with sectionals and vocal modeling, and lead small group rehearsals.

Safety Protocols
It is important to note that there is no such thing as zero risk – even before COVID. Even though we are outdoors, HOW we run our in-person rehearsals is essential to our singers’ safety. We have strict policies and protocols around social distancing, hand sanitizing, entry and exits etc, as well as health checks at the door. All families are asked to read and sign our COVID 19 policy document, and agree to following all the protocol outlined in order to participate in the choir.
